Face it John, the mechanic lied and then you tried to gloss it over. LIAR'S!!! As a consumer, I am not dumb and when I go to a Grease Monkey I expect they will upsell me, but I also expect they will upsell me something as serious as my transmission fluid ONLY if needed. BUT BUT BUT.YOU STILL DID NOT ANSWER THE ACTION OF HIS LIE.
He says, I won't blow this off, I'll talk to the mechanic. He blows smoke up my butt and starts telling me how trustworthy he is - worked at dealerships for 30 years, etc. But, the lie and action is still there. I ask, why did your guy say it was brown then? He says, he was just going off miles. But, I remind him that he was saying it was brown and showed me the chart. John brings me out to car and shows me that the trans fluid is pink and says it is fine and he is sorry for confusion. I am told that sometimes even after a trans flush that the fluid can get dirty looking again due to crud on side walls of transmission. I feel somewhat better but ask why after 2k miles it is brown again.
